I’m a Virginia-born Augusta County girl, but I followed my studies and passions to Shepherdstown, WV with my husband, John. My work takes me to VA, MD, PA, WV, and beyond. My dream is to one day own farmland that functions as both a country home and wedding venue.

 

John and I were married on October 14, 2016, in a tiny little town in southern Virginia. We live in West Virginia with our three dogs and two cats. You can see their names & faces below! I have studied strategic communications and entrepreneurship, and received my BS degree from Shepherd University in 2016. In my spare time, I watch Gilmore Girls + One Tree Hill, knit for my nieces and nephews, or spend time snuggling on the couch with my animals.

 

Photography by Jo is a wedding and portrait photography business that focuses on storytelling, creating timeless images and family heirlooms.  I strive to tell a story with my photography that reflect the two of you and your love for each other in a way that doesn’t look dated when the trends change – true colors, true to the moment, a real reflection of what your wedding was like.

 

I specialize in timeless wedding photography that reflects your unique love story, and provide a variety of heirloom products to help you preserve your wedding memories. Above all, I put your satisfaction as my client at the forefront of our experience together. It’s the happiness of my clients during and after our experience together that makes my job rewarding and worth while.

 

My favorite part about working with wedding clients is giving them their album. Imagine you’ve just gotten home from your honeymoon, and you’re starting to unpack, and you receive an email from me with your wedding gallery! If your collection includes an album, all you have to do is take a few minutes to pick out your favorites. I will hand design each page of your album with all your favorite images, have it professionally printed on flush-mount pages in a leather bound book, and ship it right to your door.

 

On my blog, I regularly write about my own wedding planning experience, tips to ease all your planning pains, my life and my family, and what I love about my job as a photographer.
