Virginia Micro Wedding & Elopement Photographer

More Of What You Need… And Less Of What You Don’t

A simple, hand-drawn illustration of two interlocking wedding rings in dark green, symbolizing marriage or partnership, on a white background.

Your wedding is a deeply personal event. If you want to throw tradition out the window because that’s what feels right to you, we will support you wholeheartedly. Sometimes, the best celebrations are the ones with you and your closest friends, toasting beneath the stars.

We love intimate weddings because you get to spend intentional time with each guest. In these smaller, more personal environments, speeches flow more freely, interactions are more honest, and you are less stressed by the showmanship of a big wedding. It makes more room for all our favorite things to photograph: real moments.

Micro Wedding & Elopement Photography in Virginia & Beyond

Whether you’re planning a courthouse elopement in your hometown or a micro wedding in the mountains, you deserve photos that capture the whole you. Our micro wedding and elopement photography packages allow you to decide exactly what kind of coverage you want. Want to skip getting ready photos and head right to the ceremony? Or want to swap out dancing photos for an outfit change and some more portraits? This is your wedding, and we’ll document whatever feels right for you.

For weddings with fewer than 30 guests and less than 5 hours of coverage, our photography packages begin at $2,500.

“I can’t say enough good things about Jo’s photography!”

We used her for our elopement with close family at Raven’s Roost. She was so flexible with the timeline for the day and we were able to split up photography coverage to do a small ceremony with family and then later in the day do a hike just the 2 of us with her. The photos turned out so well and she even got us previews the same weekend!

Everything we do—from building your custom proposal to designing your wedding album—is about you.

Yes, of course! Engagement sessions are included in your custom wedding proposal. We highly encourage every couple to have an engagement session, since it gives us a chance to get to know each other and lets you practice being in front of the camera in a low-stress environment.

We value our couples’ comfort and enjoyment above everything else. We get to know you before your wedding, so it feels like you’re being photographed by a friend. We laugh, exchange stories, and create an environment that is fun and stress-free. This is your wedding. It should be fun, comfortable, and enjoyable. We will do everything we can to make sure it feels that way.

Do you have more questions? We want to hear them! We want you to feel 100% confident in your vendors, so we welcome any conversation you want to have.
