Meet Jo, a former bride, current wedding photographer, and our team leader.
Jo knows what it feels like to plan a wedding. The excitement, the stress, all of it. Which is why she’s dedicated herself to making wedding photography the least stressful part of the wedding. Because we know that being in front of a camera feels awkward. We also know that you want photos that reflect who you are when no one is looking. So how do we rectify the two?
By creating an environment that is so easy and comfortable that you forget the camera’s even there.
We know how to show up and take charge when your entire family needs to be corralled into one photo. But we also know how to slip into the background, capturing your important memories without interrupting the emotional integrity of the moment. This balance of knowing when to direct and when to allow moments to unfold naturally is what makes our team so special. We don’t force emotions; we follow them. And that’s how you get tear-jerking, frame-worthy, generationally valued wedding photos.

My wife and I have never felt all that photogenic, and so we were a little nervous going into our engagement photoshoot. Turns out that was needless worry, because Jo expertly tailored her process to match our personalities. The whole experience was very laid back, and we spent much of the time laughing and genuinely enjoying ourselves. When we got the photos later, we were surprised by how photogenic she made us seem. In hindsight, it was because she had taken the time to get to know us, and figured out how to make us feel relaxed.
