      01 | Connection

      Connection is at the core of everything we do. Immediately after you inquire, we’ll text you to set up a call to get to know one another. Here, we listen closely to your ideas for your wedding day and begin customizing our services to match your vision.

      02 | Custom Proposal

      Once we have a clear understanding of what you need, we’ll schedule a more in-depth call to discuss your custom proposal! We’ll talk over your options and answer all of your questions, right from the get-go. We value honesty and transparency, and we know you do, too!

      03 | Getting to Know Each Other

      In the months leading up to your wedding, we meet to establish a timeline and, of course, plan your engagement session! Every communication during this time is designed to help us get to know you. We don’t want to just be your wedding photographer. We want to be a trusted resource you can turn to throughout the entire wedding planning process.

      04 | Your Wedding Day

      Your only job on your wedding day is to be fully present. By this point, we will know you (and your vision!) so well that you won’t have to direct us at all. From getting ready with your favorite people to slipping away after your reception, we will be documenting the little details and small interactions that you want to remember for the rest of your life.

      05 | The Wedding Gallery Reveal

      Once your wedding gallery is fully edited, you’re ready for your reveal experience! Before your wedding, we will schedule a time for this experience so you know exactly when you’ll receive your wedding album. And when the day comes, we will share your wedding gallery with you! Whether in person or over Zoom, this is a sacred time where you and your partner can soak it all in, reliving your favorite day, and even start designing print products if you’d like!

      06 | Designing Your Custom Album

      We include a small album in most collections and walk you through the customization and design process with care. Together, we create something personal and lasting — not just digital files that get buried in your phone until you unearth them for your anniversary. These albums give you a tactile way to honor your memories and share them with loved ones!

    Frequently asked Questions

    We are based out of Staunton, Virginia and we love to travel! Most of our weddings are in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Lexington, D.C., and Richmond, but we travel all throughout the country and even internationally! If you’re planning a destination wedding and want to bring us with you, we would love to hear from you.

    Yes, we partner with Scott Woofter Films & team to provide a cohesive photography and videography experience. Our ability to work as a team and our experience with our respective art forms give our clients the best of both worlds!

    We begin booking weddings over a year in advance. Jo takes fewer weddings per year and therefore has more limited availability. The team is more flexible. If you know your wedding date, don’t hesitate to contact us!

    We specialize in authentic, true-to-life photography. No dark filters. No orange skin tones. We do our best to match the colors of your final wedding photos to the way everything looked and felt on the day of your wedding. 

    We have a tried and true customization process. After you inquire, we will hop on a call to discuss your vision and needs for your wedding. We listen closely to what you want and present you with options hand-picked for you.

    Yes, of course! Engagement sessions are included in your custom wedding proposal. We highly encourage every couple to have an engagement session, since it gives us a chance to get to know each other and lets you practice being in front of the camera in a low-stress environment.

    We value our couples’ comfort and enjoyment above everything else. We get to know you before your wedding, so it feels like you’re being photographed by a friend. We laugh, exchange stories, and create an environment that is fun and stress-free. This is your wedding. It should be fun, comfortable, and enjoyable. We will do everything we can to make sure it feels that way.
