As a Charlottesville-based wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of capturing weddings at some of the most beautiful vineyard venues in Central Virginia—and I can confidently say, few settings rival the romance of a vineyard wedding. With sweeping Blue Ridge Mountain views, golden-hour light over rolling vines, and a laid-back elegance that still feels elevated, Virginia’s wine country offers an unforgettable backdrop for couples tying the knot. Whether you’re dreaming of Tuscan-inspired architecture, intimate mountaintop ceremonies, or a weekend-long celebration among the vines, the Charlottesville area has a vineyard venue to match your vision. Below, I’ve rounded up some of the best vineyard wedding venues in the region to help you find the perfect fit.
Note: The vineyards here are highlighted in a blog series on wedding venues that aren’t barns. There are quite a few vineyard venues in Virginia that do have barns on the property. I’ll list some more favorites below!
Vineyard Wedding Venues in Central Virginia
Keswick Vineyards
Located just ten minutes outside of Charlottesville in one of the most elegant parts of Virginia wine country, Keswick Vineyards offers pristine grounds, rolling farmland, and sweeping mountain views. Their full-day rental package includes access to the grounds and an elegant Aurora reception tent. Couples may also utilize the outside of the estate house and pool for photos. For more information regarding guest count, catering requirements, and pricing information, reach out to the venue directly.

Hazy Mountain
Hazy Mountain is a picturesque estate featuring the opposite of “barn-chic”: timeless Tuscan architecture, 35 acres of vines, and panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Parkway. There are several event spaces on the property including a stunning villa that can sleep up to 14 guests. The wedding venue holds up to 200 guests for events and requires a 75 guest minimum. Rental rates range from $18,000 – $30,000 depending on day of the week and season, with an additional required food and beverage package.

Eastwood Farm & Winery
Couples getting married at Eastwood Farm & Winery can expect to enjoy the privacy and scenery of a traditional vineyard in the mountains without having to travel outside of town! Located just 5 minutes from Downtown Charlottesville, this dog-friendly, woman-owned estate features scenic views of the blue ridge, a sailcloth tent for up to 200 seated guests, and several options for the ceremony location. Couples can expect to pay $9,000 – $12,500 to rent Eastwood Farm & Winery, and the price varies depending on season and day of the week.

Veritas Vineyard & Winery
Veritas Vineyard and Winery is one of Virginia’s most award-winning wineries and sought-after wedding venue destinations, featuring panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains, fine wines, and upscale cuisine. Veritas is perfect for couples who love mountain views with an elevated feel. Currently, the cost to rent Veritas for weddings is between $11,000 – $13,000 with a $20,000 food and beverage minimum. Weddings at Veritas can hold up to 100 guests.

Early Mountain
Early Mountain Vineyards offers modern facilities with breathtaking views of the surrounding farm and Blue Ridge Mountains. The event hall features a stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings, and holds up to 200 guests. Their package includes day-of coordination services, 12 hours of time on-site, and several spaces for the wedding party and guests to use. Early Mountain does require couples to use their in-house catering service, but does allow outside vendors for cakes and desserts. Contact directly for pricing and availability.

Mount Fair Vineyard
Mount Fair Vineyard is located just outside of Charlottesville in the heart of Virginia wine country, and can host weddings for up to 200 guests. One of my favorite features of Mount Fair is their incredible all-glass botanic greenhouse, which provides the perfect backdrop for your event (and photos!). The property also features gorgeous mountain views, English-style gardens and several houses and cabins that can be used for wedding-day prep or smaller events. Contact the venue directly for pricing.
