A Vibrant, Colorful Spring Wedding with Willow Trees in Lexington, Virginia.

Haley and Jeremy wanted bright colors, joyful moments, and candid wedding photography throughout their May wedding day. With vibrant poppies and garden party florals, their adorable best dog Cooper by their side, and a vendor team that moved as one, this spring day was about as close to perfect as it gets. Sure, no wedding is perfect. But this one was practically there!

The Venue: Willow Trees, Beautiful Pond, and the Blue Ridge Mountains

Big Spring Farm provided the ideal backdrop for their vision. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley with mountain views of the Blue Ridge, the 10-acre lake, willow trees, and pristine grounds created an almost storybook setting. The weather cooperated completely: clear blue skies that looked like they came straight out of a Pixar film, comfortable temperatures, and a gentle breeze all day long. It was one of those spring days where everything just feels right.

Colorful Spring Wedding Florals at Big Spring Farm

Haley and Jeremy’s floral palette was bold and joyful, featuring vibrant poppies in shades of orange, pink, red, and yellow. Yonder Year Farm delivered the most colorful spring arrangements for them! What made the design truly interesting was the contrast the bridesmaids created. They wore mismatched garden party dresses in soft, pale blues and greens with delicate floral prints. The light, airy tones of their dresses echoed the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains and the serene spring day, while the bridesmaids’ soft pastels created a beautiful contrast against Haley’s vivid, rich florals. The colorful arrangements coordinated beautifully with the signature cocktails, which were just as eye-catching and bright. It was a layering of design that you don’t see often, and it worked perfectly to frame Haley and highlight the couple’s bold vision for brightness and joy.

Cooper stole hearts throughout the day. Dressed in a little vest that matched Jeremy’s and even sporting a boutonniere, he was as much a part of the celebration as any guest. He had already appeared in their engagement session photos, so by the wedding day, he was woven into their love story. It was such a sweet touch that showed how thoughtful this couple and their vendor team truly were.

There was a breeze all day, everyone was comfortable and happy, and honestly, nothing went wrong.
