Meet Mathew and Teresa, soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Droneburg! We spent a really beautiful spring Saturday together exploring all things Baltimore for their engagement session. These major Orioles/Ravens fans got the in-depth historical tour of Camden Yards and Oriole Park, took a walk down Eutaw Street to M&T Bank Stadium to touch Johnny Unitas’s toe, and then took me to the Baltimore Inner Harbor where they talked about one of their earlier dates in that exact location.
This engagement session was unique for me in so many ways. Having never been to Baltimore before (except one aquarium experience from before I can remember), I felt a bit like a tourist, letting my clients lead me to some of their favorite spots. It was challenging walking into a location without knowing much about how I was going to make it work for their engagement session — but then again, that’s how most wedding days go, too.
I am so glad Mathew and Teresa were up for making a whole day out of their Baltimore engagement session! I love when couples pick a location truly unique to them — something they feel excited about and that shows a little personality. To top it all off, they treated me to lunch! How sweet! I tell clients that an engagement session is a bit like a first date, where I learn more about them, how to work best with them, and the little things to make their wedding pictures that much more personal and natural. In this case, it really was like a first date! I can’t wait for their wedding this September at Ostertag-Vistas in Maryland. Thanks for a wonderful Baltimore engagement session, guys!
