King Family Vineyards, one of my favorite wedding venues in central Virginia, was the perfect place for late summer evening engagement photos with Lauren and Edwin. These two are getting married in just a couple short months in Charlottesville, just twenty minutes from King Family Vineyards in Crozet. We enjoyed a semi-private engagement session in the field and vines while families were watching polo practice, eating from food trucks, and enjoying the last days of summer. The engagement photos turned out perfect, and you can see why it’s one of my favorite places for engagement photos!
Lauren and Edwin were actually married in Charlottesville already, but are having their wedding reception with family and friends later this year. We scheduled their engagement session to get to know each other and practice working together/being in front of the camera before their big day. This is something I encourage all my clients to do. You only get a few minutes together for your wedding portraits. It’s much easier to create beautiful images when you’ve already worked together once before.
King Family Vineyards was the perfect setting for engagement portraits! We got gorgeous and glowy golden hour light, enjoyed a beautiful atmosphere, and even got to see some horse friends! As the session ended, we got to enjoy Wine Wednesday with a bottle of Crose – a Crozet grown and made Rose.
